Today I finished potting up the last of the bulbs which hopefully will grow happily through the winter months and be ready for sale in the spring. First though we have to keep the mice from eating the fritillarias and anemones. We are still having to use mouse traps because George seems to have lost the knack of catching them.
Planting bulbs in pots at this time of year seems a good idea because then they can be planted in the garden in the spring when one can clearly see where the existing bulbs are. This autumn it is almost impossible to dig holes in the ground because it is so very dry.
great article, i certainly enjoy this web site, keep it.
