Yesterday was the day we’ve all been waiting for. Plenty of warm sunshine and only light wind. People were happy to be out and about for a change and not having to wear layer upon layer of clothing. The hedges are greening up, the daffodils are out and bees are enjoying the catkins on the willows. I’ve had to start watering with the hosepipe, a job I dislike because its slow and repetitive but at least I get to have a good look at all the plants while I’m spraying water around. Customers are beginning to come in at last. George the cat is delighted to see new people. I think he gets bored with us through the long winter months. How long will it last I wonder.
Looking good now are Epimediums, Pulmonaria, Geums, the new foliage on euonymus, White violas and Anemone blanda.
