Its the first day of July, so we are into the second half of the year. It was reasonably warm, fairly windy and dry. Philip did the mowing, I did a bit of potting and then some weeding, I also took some cuttings of Alchemilla ellenbeckii and an Iberis. I really should have done the watering too but couldn’t face it. Rain is forecast for tomorrow but it won’t be much I think. Terry came and trimmed the edges of the borders. It was not a busy day, far from it, with just one couple who came from somewhere near Grantham. When it is quiet on days like this there is not much incentive to rush around and get things done. Maybe its good to take things a bit easier while we can. I live with the vague optimism that any day now we shall be inundated with people wanting to buy trolley loads of plants. Quite what we shall do with all the plants if they don’t sell I’m really not sure. Have an end of season sale? Pot everything into bigger pots for next year? We shall see.
