We’ve had 2 cooler days which meant that I was able to do some potting and gardening yesterday. I was also able to skip a day of watering which was such a relief. There’s plenty of cutting back to do at the moment, it didn’t take long to get two wheelbarrows full. Meanwhile Philip mowed everywhere which instantly makes the place look smarter. There were a measly two customers until 3.30 when the lovely Fiona came in and bought 3 trolleys worth of plants and containers. Plus a couple of other people after our closing time made it an unusually good day. We also had plants for sale at the open gardens in Southam were they sold quite a few for us.

Today I did the watering, yawn yawn but at least it didn’t take too long, did some trimming of plants in the sales area, put some shrubs in a ‘half price’ sale bed and served the steady trickle of customers. P had a bonfire, and trimmed the ‘yellow monster’. After work we went to collect the unsold plants from Lesley and Jeff, they’d sold a decent amount for us which was very pleasing. So, altogether, a good weekend. Thunderstorms are forecast for Tuesday, I wonder if we shall get any rain.
